The Babies Room has 6 positions per day for children aged between 6 weeks and 2 years with 2 Screen Shot 2015-05-02 at 3.18.31 pmeducators, including a Diploma Qualified Lead Educator and a Cert III Qualified Co-Educator.

The Babies room follows a play-based emergent curriculum. Educators work in partnerships with families to provide a consistent routine for the children between home and the room. The older children follow a flexible routine with progressive meals and indoor/outdoor opportunities happening throughout the day. Daily emails  are sent out for each family every day that detail the children’s daily routine and a brief snippet and photo of their day.

Educators build reciprocal relationships with the children which assists the children in their social and emotional Screen Shot 2015-05-02 at 3.20.00 pmdevelopment. The environment is warm and nurturing, this gives the children the opportunities to build on their physical strength and motor coordination, fine and gross motor skills, hand/eye and eye/foot coordination and full body movement. Singing, reading, music, different sound experience and educators talking to children assist in developing the children’s language.

The lead educator for the 2016 Babies room is Kala Osborne, and the Co-Educator is Brodie Miles.
